Toews Sewing is an online sewing equipment retailer in Abbotsford, BC, that sells sewing machines, embroidery machines, and quilting machines. We carry a number of quality brand machines to make sure that our customers get only the best sewing machines; some of these brands include our Janome sewing machines, Serger sewing machines, and Singer sewing machines.

Toews Sewing is a family business founded in 1950. Many things have changed in over 75 years. However, we still believe in the same traditional service our company was founded on. That is why Calvin Toews, growing up in the family business, became a journeyman sewing machine technician with over 46 years of full-time experience. Calvin personally does 100% of all the repairs. We service all makes and models of sewing machines, overlocks, and industrial machines.

We answer the phone with a real person 24 hours a day, with no automated voicemail. We've retained all original technical service manuals of all the different brands of sewing machines we have sold over the years, from Elna sewing machines to Sears/Kenmore brands, becoming an official service center. I’ve have had my Pfaff for 48 years and have always had Toews maintain it.It had thread all tangled in the motor and Calvin took the time To get it all untangled and it is working as good as new now

Calvin Toews went above and beyond. I brought in my mom’s vintage Pfaff sewing machine that we had sewn on together for over 40 years. It had water damage, wasn’t working, and another repair shop told me it was unrepairable — but it holds enormous sentimental value to me. Calvin took one look at it and said, “You’ve just brought me a Rolex.” I immediately felt understood and confident leaving it with him. He had it repaired in just two days, and it now sews like a brand-new machine. I’m incredibly grateful for his skill, care, and respect for craftsmanship. I highly recommend him
